Hi Everyone! It’s Nate.
On November 7th, Hiromi and I went to Tanzan Sake Brewery to participate （参加する）in an online event. The brewery’s president gave a tour of the brewery and explained how sake is made. Our job was to translate what the president said into English for the people listening in San Diego, California in the United States.
Learning about the brewery and how sake is made was very interesting. Another part of the event was sake tasting（利き酒）. I tasted the sake and explained it to the people listening. I realized （気づいた）that explaining （説明する） the taste of sake is difficult. Before the event, I researched the words that sommeliers （ソムリエ）use to explain wine. That helped a lot. I didn’t really like nihonshu before, but I liked the kind I tried at the event. It was daiginjo, which is high quality.
After the event was over （終わったら）, the president gave us a few bottles!
Here are a few pictures.
